WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files that are installed on computers, smartphones, tablets and devices linked to the network during the visit and/or browsing on a website. The sites visited send the cookies to the browser used (e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera), which stores them and makes them available to the sites concerned on the user’s next visit. Cookies may also be sent to the user's browser by other sites or different web servers i.e. by third parties. This means that, while browsing, a given site may contain elements from other sites that include cookies visited before, such as images, sounds, maps and links to other pages.
